A Hands-on Approach this Spring

Posted: March 14, 2011

Eastern State launches its new Hands-On History program on March 15 (with a weekend celebrating the new visitor experiences April 2 and 3). But how do you communicate to visitors the tone and feel of the experience? Our friends at Macalino Marketing developed 30 different logos, with input from our staff at six steps throughout.

You can see how the idea narrows over time, and settles on a logo that stresses the hands-on aspect, looks a bit old-fashioned, is easy to read, and uses a palate of colors that will fit with the existing site signage while standing out.

We love the logo! See you in the cellblocks soon.
