As a member, you and your family will enjoy a full year of activities, special events, and unlimited access to the Historic Site during public hours. As an initial supporter of our membership program, you have the satisfaction of knowing you are among the first to support the preservation efforts at the Penitentiary in these crucial early years.
There are three ways to order memberships. You can order online now, by phone (215/236-5111 x10) using your credit card or you can print out a membership form and either mail it in with your check, money order or credit card number or fax it to us with your credit card information.
All Members Receive:
- Free admission to the site and all daytime public events for one year.
- Priority registration for the semi-annual “Behind the Scenes” tours.
- Free use of an “Equipment Pass” while on site (e.g. tripod, easel).
- Eligible to enter Members’ Photo Contest (October).
- Passes to Terror Behind the Walls, our annual Halloween event - see below for valid dates.
All benefits listed above for six (6) individuals (member with photo ID must be present), plus:
- Donor recognition on Eastern State's website
- Up to four (4) Terror Behind the Walls V.I.P. Member Passes with Quick Pass (see * below for valid dates).
- Invitations to June and November Members only special events.
All benefits listed above for eight (8) individuals (member with photo ID must be present), plus:
- Donor recognition on Eastern State's website
- Up to six (6) Terror Behind the Walls Gold V.I.P. Member Passes with Quick Pass (see ** below for valid dates).
- Invitations to June and November Members only special events.
- Invitation to annual Terror Behind the Walls V.I.P. party (admits 2) in October.
All benefits listed above for ten (10) individuals (member with photo ID must be present), plus:
- Donor recognition on Eastern State's website
- Up to eight (8) Terror Behind the Walls Gold V.I.P. Member Passes with Quick Pass (see ** below for valid dates).
- Invitations to June and November Members only special events.
- Invitation to annual Terror Behind the Walls V.I.P. party (admits 2) in October.
- One private "Behind the Scenes" tour for 10 guests.
All passes for Terror Behind the Walls are good for either adults or children. Passes are
valid on the following 2010 show nights:
* Member and V.I.P. Passes: September 17, 18, 24, & 25. October 1, 2, 3,
13, 14, 19, & 20. November 5 & 6
** Gold V.I.P. Passes: All 2010 show nights except October 15, 16, 22, 23,
29 & 30

Memberships renewed on or after September 1, 2010 will receive Terror Behind the Walls passes for 2011.
